The prints are so like the originals the only sure way to distinguish one from the other was that the paint on the originals made the surface uneven." (Field 69.3) - Rücken tlw. mit kl. 1 of 1499 numb. copies of the 'Editionis Luxus'. With 105 col. plates after gouaches by Dalí. Orig. calf with gilt spine, silk moiré endpapers and gilt top edge, in orig. calf slipcases with silk moiré covering. - Spines here and there slightly scraped, else well preserved copy of the luxurious bible edition.
